Warbird Adventures, Inc.

Warbird Adventures, Inc. is an established
company providing
orientation flights, aerobatics, checkout training and recurrent
training in the North American SNJ-6 Texan. Their three
SNJ-6s are also available for for airshows, flybys and
film.
The idea behind the company came to shape on a
cocktail napkin back in 1997. Founders Graham Meise and
Thom Richard decided to max out all their credit cards
and buy a T-6. By January 7th, 1998 the company had been
formed and the first aircraft purchased in California.
It took 6 days to bring it home to Zephyrhills, Florida
after which extensive modification had to be done. Four
months later, they sat on the ramp with a shiny T-6
waiting for people to come by. The original plan was to
barn-storm around the country, but they ended up in
Kissimmee by accident and set up shop out of the Flying
Tigers Warbird Restoration Museum instead. The rest is
history. The operation now has it's own hangar and even
it's own Museum. Flying Tigers shut down in 2004 after
Hurricane Charley so the new Kissimmee Air Museum was
formed in its place. Flights are offered on a daily
basis in their three SNJ's and the exhibit is open to
the public 6 or 7 days/week (depending on season). Over
30,000 satisfied customers have flown with Warbird
Adventures. Perhaps you'll be the next lucky person to
experience the flight of a lifetime.
Come fly like the aces of yester-year in the Premier
Fighter-Trainer of WWII, the North American T-6 TEXAN!
Also known as the SNJ or Harvard, over 70% of the Allied
pilots received their fighter training in these
aircraft. Whether you want a thrilling aerobatic
adventure or a smooth straight & level flight, the
experience is completely tailored to you. Take the
controls in the front seat and our experienced
instructors will teach you everything about flying this
piece of history. Don't miss this opportunity to fly the
legendary 'Pilot-Maker'.
Regardless of your experience, once airborne you will
be doing the flying, even the aerobatics if that option
has been chosen. An experienced flight instructor will
be in the back seat with a full set of controls, he will
handle the taxiing, take-off and landing, you get to do
the rest with some coaching from your instructor.
Some customers perform Aerobatic maneuvers for the
first time under the direction of experienced
instructors. They offer not just a ride; you perform all
the maneuvers yourself under our guidance and bring you
to whatever level you are comfortable with. The
experience is tailored to the customer.
Warbird Adventures can teach you any (or all) of the
following: Aileron rolls, Loops, Cuban 8's, Reverse
Cuban 8's, Barrel Rolls, Immelmans, Split-S, Wingovers,
Cloverleaf and Hesitation 4-point, 8-point & 16-point
rolls.
This is the real thing. Come fly like the aces of
yesteryear in some of the most significant military
aircraft in history and prepare yourself for the
experience of a lifetime! Whether you want a thrilling
aerobatic adventure or a smooth sightseeing flight, the
experience will never be forgotten. Great for first time
flyers, nostalgia buffs, modelers and pilots. You take
the controls in the front seat and one of their very
experienced instructors will teach you everything you
want to learn about flying these beautiful pieces of
history. It's a 100% hands on experience. Great for
pilot and non-pilots alike. Flights start at $240 for 15
minutes of flight time, $420 for 30 minutes of flight
time and $720 for an hour of flight time including
aerobatics. 5 and 10 hour T-6 check out courses
available as well.
